At 29 weeks cervix was 1.5! I had an infection and was so LUCKY they caught it. Doc said bacteria love to get to the rich blood supply that is right under the membrane, and so they eat away at the mucus plug. Course then I was put on bedrest and terbutaline which helped tremendously, but that whole ordeal was really scary. So yea, the infections do happen - and it was without any symptoms.

I feel strongly that it should be routine to do cervical checks much earlier in pregnancies, and more often. It scares me that they could have missed this!

I'm excited for you! I'm wishing you all of the luck in the world.Paula Kellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11545620300368378897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1967826293027318983.post-63174836940014809962010-05-01T21:29:01.209-05:002010-05-01T21:29:01.209-05:00I think this speaks a lot to the reproductive &quo...I think this speaks a lot to the reproductive "arts" of it all.

Hoping (very, very hard) for much sunshine your way.sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06047230476957940444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1967826293027318983.post-50041539876597457112010-05-01T13:23:25.043-05:002010-05-01T13:23:25.043-05:00Hey Amy

I think that the rate of implantation is also slightly lower with a FET and hence the higher number embryo's the Dr's are willing to put back.
All the best, I really hope it works out for you!The Blessed Barrennesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00705483551013268275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1967826293027318983.post-46654124818755734492010-05-01T04:33:35.674-05:002010-05-01T04:33:35.674-05:00Those were all very interesting thoughts. I would want the best chance of getting pregnant in the shortest amount of time. But then again, we have crappy odds and even my RE said if we did this again (we aren't) we should transfer more than two. But it surprises me that he said there was no difference even with IC and carrying multiples......hmmmm. But what do I know....?

I can only imagine how hard it was to walk through those doors.....'Murgdan'https://www.blogger.com/profile/00740095971968567222noreply@blogger.com
